The sockeye salmon was just as we remembered in Vancouver. Thanks for bringing this into SG!
I grilled two pieces of the wild caught sockeye salmon! OMG it’s absolutely delicious. It’s so good and fresh that you should keep the seasoning and cooking simple. I used a few splashes of the Redboat fish Sauce on it and the two complement and take to each other like ‘Fish to Water’ !
I am a frquent consumer of Salmon so ya. This is Canadian salmon no doubt. The skin colour is different from farmed norway ones. Wild Salmon meat tends to be “stiffer” than the farmed ones. But it is tasty.
This salmon has a beautiful colour as you would expect from wild salmon.
The taste and smell is mild, which I actually prefer as sometimes fish can be a bit stinky. In fact my husband who usually hates fish (shockingly) and cannot stand the smell, said he thought this one smelled nice.
Yummy yummy!!! We cooked the fish today and its very tasty and good portion size
