Native to British Columbia, Gindara sablefish are raised in a 300 foot deep fjord on the west coast of Vancouver Island. Fed a diet free of antibiotics, chemicals, and other additives and reared in a low-density system, the Gindara sablefish comply with the highest sustainability standards.
Comes fresh chilled. You will get the head and bones along with the portion cuts when you buy the whole fish. Comes degutted and descaled, approximate weight indicated is before processing.

This is my first time buying from here and after trying wild cod, I think it will be hard to go back to farmed ones. In terms of texture, the meat is just much more tender and filled with the fish's good fats. Of course the nutrients are also better.
Tried steam and grill. For grill, it is best. Steam would not be as good compared to snow cod.
Melts in the mouth. Everyone loves it. Will purchase again.
Perfectly fresh, beautifully scaled and cleaned and packed neatly in a sealed heavy duty bag. Delicious roasted in a 200°C oven for 40 minutes.
Ordered option 6 with fillet and sliced option. Slices are good for fish soup and steamboat, the bones were fried to make soup stock as well. Would recommend this as it is not so easy to find a whole black cod in SG .
