I’ve bought white pomfret from Dishthefish a number of times now since 2 years or so ago. Initially the fish was always fresh. However, the last few times I had bought it within these couple of months, the fish was always not very fresh. There was no change in my method of storage/preparation or the ingredients used. Yet the fish always smells fishy now when I remove it from the vacuum pack, and tastes fishy after steaming (even after marination with rice wine).. submitting this review to share my experience for others’ awareness, as I had tried to feedback privately via email but did not receive any reply..
Fish was nicely packed and fresh. We steam the pomfret, Teochew style. Delish~
Fantastic. Very very fresh
Fresh and worth the money
great pomfret! tried the 400g one, going to steam up the larger one soon.
