Almas Beluga Caviar is harvested from the Beluga sturgeon, the largest of all sturgeons. These sturgeons exhibit a distinct shade of black which resembles silver and are more than two metres in length. When harvested, these sturgeons are minimally at 20 years of age. The Beluga Caviar is the highest valued of caviar because its caviar is the largest and the sturgeons takes a long time to reach maturity. The Beluga Caviar has a refined, smooth taste.
All of Almas caviar are harvested using a "no-kill" method, a proprietary technique that's unique to the company. No preservatives or additives are added, with only 2.5-3% premium sea salt added.
Country of Origin: Korea, at a farm located near the upstream of the Namhan River.
Caviar should be served chilled and is best accompanied by simple or slightly savoury foods. Caviar is high in omega 3 and has antioxidant properties.
