Where do you deliver to?

• We deliver islandwide in Singapore.

What are the delivery charges?

• Orders over $80 will have free shipping. For orders under $80, a delivery charge of $20 will apply. Alternatively, you may choose to self-collect at our outlets with no minimum order. For first time order, you may use "firstcatch" for $5 off $150.

What if no one is around to accept the order?

• If no one is home to accept your delivery within 5 minutes of our driver's arrival during the stipulated delivery timeslot, we will take your fish back to our facilities to be frozen. We will then attempt to arrange a second delivery. Please note that in the event that we have to re-deliver, a $20 fee will be imposed. 

What time will my order be delivered?

• We deliver Mon to Sat with the following timeslots: 12-7pm. 
• To the best of our abilities, your order will be delivered within the delivery time slot chosen. We are unable to provide an exact time of delivery. Our carriers will not make a call prior to delivery. 

Can I reschedule/cancel my order?

• Rescheduling/ cancellations have to be made at least 48 hours before the delivery date. 
• In the event of a late cancellation within 48 hours, 50% of the total value will be charged. 
• In the event of a late cancellation within 24 hours, or if items have already been dispatched, there will not be any refunds given for any cancellation.

You can select your preferred payment method at checkout.

• We accept secure payments via Credit Cards, Debit Cards and PayNow. 

Your satisfaction is important for us. We have stringent standards of choosing, inspecting and processing the seafood that goes out for delivery. For scenarios other than those below, please fill up this form here.

• Fish and portion sizing: All fishes are processed by our fish cutting experts to ensure the highest quality standards. We always try to provide a product that is as close to what was stated on the product page. Nonetheless, as processing is done by humans, there may be variances in weight from what was stated. Please also note that due to variances in sizes of the fish, we may sometimes have to give the fish and portions according to the rough weight ordered instead of the specific number of items ordered. We will not be providing any refund for any complaints with regards to any disputes of such incident.

• Bones in fish: Our fillets and child cuts are processed by our fish cutting experts to ensure that there are minimal bones. Nonetheless, there may still be fine bones within the fillets which may not be detected during the cutting process. While we try our best to facilitate and ease the role of a caregiver with our cutting options and packing, we are not able to replace the role of a caregiver. We advise all caregivers to proceed with caution while feeding their little ones. We are not liable for the presence of bones found in your fish. Dishthefish will not be providing any refund for such instances. 

If, upon investigation, it is determined that a refund should be accorded, then it will be processed and a credit will automatically be applied to customer's credit card or original payment method shortly after.

What is the ordering process?

1. Simply add as many items as you wish to your shopping cart while browsing our store. Once you want to proceed with the order - do so by going to the cart, choose your delivery/ self-collection date and time, and click "checkout". 

2. You will be required to register an account with us if you are new. (Refer to the next question for how to register for an account)

3. Follow the instructions by providing us with delivery information and select payment method - we will deliver according to the date and time chosen. 

How do I register for an account?

You may register for an account during the checking out process or by heading here. Fill in your name, email and password and click on "register".

You will be directed to confirm "I'm not a robot" either via a simple checkbox verification or an image test. 

Once this process is completed, your account will be created. You will receive an email shortly to confirm that your account has been created. If you did not receive the email, it could mean that your account creation was not successful.

I have a discount code. Where do I put it under the checkout process? 

After choosing the delivery date and time, you will see your cart items. There is a box under the items where you can key in the promo code before checking out. 

Are your products chilled (fresh) or frozen?

• Please refer to the product description. The products usually come chilled unless stated otherwise.

How long can I store my products?

• All our products can be kept in the freezer for up to 3 months. However, if you would like to keep them in the chiller, we recommend to still cover them with some ice to maintain the products at around zero degrees celcius. We do not recommend keeping any seafood item in the chiller for more than two days.

Are your fish farmed or wild-caught?

• We carry both farmed and wild-caught seafood. Please refer to the individual product's description to find out more. 

How do I know that my order will arrive cold?

• Our orders are vacuum-packed, then delivered either in cold trucks or in insulated containers. For sustainability reasons, we do not use styrofoam boxes for home deliveries. 

Why is the size of fish received different from what the product description?

• All our fish are processed by our fish cutting experts with the aim to provide portioned and cleaned cuts at the highest level of quality and consistency. Please note that due to variances in sizes of the fish, we may sometimes have to give the fish and portions according to the weight ordered instead of the specific number of items ordered. Pictures of the products on the product page are usually representative pictures only and may differ from the actual product received.
• Please note that the weight given on the product description is usually before processing, and there may be weight loss during processing. 

What are the cutting styles available for my fish?

• Cutting style options are usually available as part of a drop down option on individual fish/ fillet pages. Please refrain from giving us cutting style instructions when they are not part of the drop-down option as they may be omitted by staff. In addition, some cutting styles may not be applicable for some types of fish (too small, too bony, etc.)

Why are there bones in my fish fillet or child cuts? 

• Our fillets and child cuts are processed by our fish cutting experts to ensure that there are minimal bones. Nonetheless, there may still be fine bones within the fillets which may not be detected during the cutting process. For fish that come in frozen to us, we try not to break the cold chain when we portion our the fish. This makes it even harder to detect and remove pin bones. While we try our best to facilitate and ease the role of a caregiver with our cutting options and packing, we will still advise caution and supervision when feeding fish to young children or elderly.
